Dr. Frank Hermann passed away suddenly on February 20, 2010 at the age of
46. Frank was born on September 19, 1963 in Freiburg i. Br., Germany.
He is survived by his loving wife Dr. Susanne Wilke, originally from Germany
and their 6 year old son Simon. The family resides in Stamford, CT. Frank
is also survived by his mother Helma Hermann of Wiesbaden, Germany and his
sister Dagmar Steinert of Dusseldorf, Germany.
Frank was a loving father and husband who was inspired by other cultures and
traveled extensively in his adult life. He enjoyed his academic studies and
obtained several degrees; a Masters in Chemistry from the University College
London, folloed by a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Illinois and
an M.B.A from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, Hanover, New
Hampshire. Frank will be sorely missed by his many friends and colleagues.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic
Church, 469 North Street, Greenwich, CT at 10am on Friday February 26.
Burial will follow at Putnam Cemetery, 35 Parsonage Road, Greenwich, CT. In
lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to an academic scholarship
fund established by the Whitby School for Frank’s son Simon. Contributions
