Alma Lally

Alma W. Lally, 79, a lifelong resident of Greenwich, passed away on March 2, 2010 at Greenwich Hospital. She was born in Greenwich to the late Joseph and Mary (Dianis) Manka on December 3, 1930. Alma is survived by her loving husband James Lally; her children; Michael J. Lally, Kevin J. Lally, and Laura J. Lally, and her grandchildren; Allison Leigh Lally, Shannon Grace Lally, and Erin Alliene Lally.
For many years she worked as a secretary and most recently had worked at the Round Hill Country Club. Alma was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and an active member of the choir there. She was a member of the Sokol Club, the Byram Veterans Women’s Auxillary, and for many years she was associated with the State Liners Drum and Bugle Corp. Alma enjoyed sewing and quilting.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother; Joseph Manka and her step-father; Oliver Bridge.
Family and friends may call at the Castiglione Funeral Home, Inc., 134 Hamilton Ave. in Greenwich on Thursday, March 4th from 4-8PM. A Prayer service will be held at 7:00PM.on Thursday. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 5th at 10:00AM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church , 286 Delevan Ave.in Greenwich with Pastor Perling officiating. Internment will follow in Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye, NY. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to: Knights of Colombus Scholarship Fund, 37 W. With deepest sympathy at the loss of Alma. I fondly remember her at all of the Stateliner functions.
My heart goes out to, Jim, Mike, Kevin & Laura.
