Amerigo Aldo Stroili October 23rd, 1925- July 2nd, 2010 Resident of Greenwich, Connecticut. After living a long, happy life Amerigo Moe Stroili passed away peacefully. Amerigo was born in Cavazzo Carnico, Italy and moved to Greenwich, Connecticut where he lived for the remainder of his life. He courageously served in the United States Navy during World War II.
Amerigo was one of three children born to the late Francesco Benedetto & Enrica Tosoni Stroili. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 55 years, Comfort Stroili and brother, Eddie Stroili. Amerigo will be forever remembered by his devoted sons, Frank and Ken, loving daughter-in-law, Margaret, his brother Charles Stroili, treasured grandchildren, Allison, Mark, and Christopher, along with countless friends and family whom were blessed to know him.
Amerigo loved gardening, cooking, playing on his computer, and being with his family and friends. Amerigo touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Family and friends may call at the Castiglione Funeral Home, Inc., 134 Hamilton Avenue in Greenwich on Tuesday, July 6th from 4-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 7th at St. Roch Church. Internment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Greenwich.
