Florence May Clifford, 88; born April 12, 1922 in Port Chester, NY, a daughter of Ted and Edith Wheeler married James E. Clifford and moved to Greenwich in 1940. She raised four children in Greenwich, loved spending time with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Worked as private cook for many families in Greenwich. Enjoyed the Senior Center and Greenwich Avenue. Was an avid swimmer and loved salt-water fishing in her travels to Florida, and loved playing bingo.
She is survived by Jim Clifford (Cheryl) of Greenwich, Arlene Mandola (Pat) of Hopewell Junction,
NY.
She was predeceased by her husband James E. Clifford, daughters Betty- Ann Schmeiler and Diana Gentile, Brother Ted Wheeler and sisters Marjorie Williams and Dora Baron.
Loving Grandmother to Denise Hawkins, Jay Clifford, Steven Clifford, E.J. Gentile, Brian Gentile, Dennis Schmeiler, Jeff Schmeiler and Robbie Schmeiler. Loving great-grandmother to Michael Hawkins, Kyle Clifford, Madison Clifford, Jasmine Clifford, James A. Clifford and Jayleen Clifford.

Family and friends may call at the Castiglione Funeral Home, Inc., 134 Hamilton Ave. in Greenwich on Saturday, July 17th from 10:00AM to 11:00AM. Religious service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00AM. Burial will be private.
